Vivo tease upcoming X7 with 16 mega-pixel front camera

Vivo are teasing a new smartphone and have today released the official name of the device and one of its major selling points.

Vivo’s next phone isn’t the Xshot 2, although many of us wish it was, instead it is a phone named the Vivo X7. At this point we know very little about the Vivo X7 other than the name is finalised and that in the latest teaser the front camera specs are revealed to include a 16 mega-pixel camera.

16 mega-pixels is way above average and it will mean the X7 has the highest resolution front camera of any Vivo phone to date, but it isn’t the highest on the market, that honour goes to Meitu’s latest phones with 21 mega-pixel front cameras.

According to industry insiders Vivo will be adopting a new design for the Vivo X7 and are currently applying for patents before even giving customers a glimpse of the phone. There are rumours that the X7 will have a revolutionary new look and might appear similar to the Vivo concept phone seen in Captain America Civil War.
