Last week we reported on the
rumour that
ZTE's
Nubia brand were working on a new
Nubia Z5 mini to rival the
Xiaomi M2s, today we have more details along with the above purported image!
Mini version of high-end
phones are nothing new, but the Nubia
Z5 mini could be the
first actually worth owning! Rumours suggest that ZTE, the makers of the Nuba brand in China, are planing to launch the
Z5 mini in direct compeition with Xiaomi's M2s! This means we can expect pricing from between 1899-2299 Yuan ($309 - $375), but also high-end specs including a 4.7-inch
HD display.
Chinese tech site
IT168 claim to have seen a prototype of the Nubia
Z5 mini which features the trademark Nubia 'red ring' home button below a 4.7-inch
display and dual external speakers on the rear casing.
If Nubia are able to give the
Z5 mini similar hardware to the
M2s i.e a 1.7Ghz Snapdragon 600
CPU,
2GB RAM and 13 mega-pixel camera, the still young brand could see a huge jump in popularity!
