Xiaomi Hits 1.2 Million Users with HyperOS 3 Beta Rollout

Xiaomi’s latest system update, HyperOS 3 Beta, has become a huge success. Zhang Guoquan, head of Xiaomi’s mobile software department, confirmed that more than 1.2 million people have already installed the beta. That figure is ten times higher than what Xiaomi expected when it first opened sign-ups.

This response shows how eager fans are to test the company’s new software. Instead of a slow rollout, HyperOS 3 has gained momentum from the start, and Xiaomi is now adding more devices to the beta program.

The latest rollout, timed with China’s National Day, includes some of Xiaomi’s most popular devices. Among them are the MIX Fold 4, the MIX Flip, and the Xiaomi 14 series, including the Titanium Special Editions. The Redmi K70 lineup is also part of the batch, as well as the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 tablet.

This wide range shows Xiaomi’s plan to deliver HyperOS 3 to both premium users and those who prefer the Redmi series. By also including a tablet, the company highlights its push to make HyperOS work across different device categories.

HyperOS 3 introduces a fresh look and new smart tools. Icons and status indicators have been redesigned. A feature called Hyper Island gives notifications a new style, much like Apple’s Dynamic Island.

Xiaomi is also focusing on cross-device use. Calls and texts can now be forwarded between devices. You can even share your phone’s screen with a laptop or transfer files by just placing two devices close together.

The update boosts performance as well. Xiaomi says HyperOS 3 runs about 30 percent faster, with smoother animations and better visuals.

AI is another big part of this release. Users can try AI note writing, real-time voice translation, noise reduction in recordings, and smarter search. A fun addition is AI Dynamic Wallpapers, which turn still photos into moving backgrounds. These are now available worldwide, not just in China.

HyperOS 3 is more than just a new interface. Xiaomi is clearly building a connected ecosystem where phones, tablets, and foldables work together without barriers. The strong response from users shows that this approach is working.

With 1.2 million installs already, Xiaomi has set the stage for what could be one of its biggest software rollouts ever. And with more devices joining the beta, the number will only keep growing.
