Xiaomi Could Launch 4k Xiaomi MiTV 2 today

According to my calendar today is the 15th May making it the day of Xiaomi's next product launch, one of those products could be an updated MiTV 2 with 4K display.

Last year Xiaomi surprised fans with the launch of the original Xiaomi MiTV, a LED TV with Snapdragon 600 processor and Samsung 3D display for a low price. The MiTV also ran Android with Xiaomi's own MIUI customizations giving the TV gaming and video streaming capabilities.

Less than a year on and rumours are that Xioami are readying the 2nd generation Xiaomi MITV 2 which could be unveiled today at the Xiaomi announcement in Beijing. According to sources the new MITV 2 will get the same 2999 Yuan entry price point but will now feature a much more powerful Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, larger 49-inch screen and will now be a full 4K panel with 3D support!

Also rumoured to launch today are the Xiaomi Mi3s, an updated version of the Mi3 with 4G LTE and a Xiaomi tablet running MIUI. Keep posted for more news.
