The
REDMI K100 has appeared in another
leak, this time from
tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo. The post points to a 200MP main camera and a display with a higher resolution than previous models. It also mentions vibration features, lighting, and a cooling fan.
However, the post offers few details. It does not explain how these features will work or confirm that they will all make it into the final phone.
Xiaomi and REDMI have yet to announce the device's specifications, so all these details remain unconfirmed.
REDMI K100 Could Get a 200MP Camera
A 200MP main camera would be a notable change for the REDMI K series. Earlier leaks also mentioned this possibility, but it remains unclear whether the sensor is intended for the standard REDMI K100 or another model in the lineup.
A previous leak from Digital Chat Station also pointed to a 1/1.56-inch sensor. That detail should be treated with caution, as Xiaomi has not confirmed it.
Megapixel count alone does not determine camera quality. Sensor size, lens quality, optical stabilization, and image processing all affect the final result. More detailed information will be needed to judge the REDMI K100's camera.
The display is another unknown. Smart Pikachu did not share its size, panel type, or resolution. Earlier leaks pointed to a flat 1.5K display with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. The latest claim about a higher resolution could suggest a change, but it is too early to say whether the phone will use a 2K panel.
Could the REDMI K100 Have a Built-In Cooling Fan?
Active cooling fans are more common in dedicated gaming phones than in standard smartphones. If REDMI includes one in the K100, it could help the phone maintain performance during long gaming sessions.
There are trade-offs, though. A fan takes up internal space and can add noise and design complexity. Its actual benefit would depend on how Xiaomi builds the cooling system.
Smart Pikachu also mentioned vibration features and lighting, but provided no explanation of their design. These features could appeal to mobile gamers, although their value to everyday users may be more limited. It is also too early to estimate how this hardware could affect the phone's price.
100W Charging and a Large Battery Are Also Rumored
Smart Pikachu briefly mentioned separate buttons, but did not explain their purpose or confirm whether they will appear on the retail model. The tipster also referred to a configuration called “super supreme.” Without more context, it is unclear whether this is a product variant, a prototype codename, or something else.
Separately, a Chinese
3C certification listing for a device with the model number M786BC reportedly shows support for 100W charging. Unofficial reports link the device to the standard REDMI K100, but the certification alone does not establish that connection.
Earlier leaks also pointed to a battery approaching 10,000mAh, a display with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. None of these specifications has been confirmed by Xiaomi.
The company has yet to announce the REDMI K100's price or exact launch date. For now, the 200MP camera and gaming hardware remain possibilities rather than confirmed features.
