Xiaomi’s upcoming
Poco Pad M1 specs
appeared online. The new listing gives a clearer picture of what to expect. The
tablet seems to be the next step after the first Poco Pad (4G).
From the early listing, this will be a mid-range device. Its appearance
online also suggests that an official launch may be just around the corner.
Display
and Design
The Poco Pad M1 will come in two
simple colour options, which are Deep Blue and Grey. It is expected to feature a
12.1-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1600 × 2560, which supports a
fast 120Hz refresh rate.
That should make scrolling, watching videos, and
general use feel noticeably smoother. The bezels of this device are quite thin,
which gives the screen a bigger and open look.
The power and volume buttons are
both placed on the right side of the device, with the volume button just above
the power button. The rear camera module runs horizontally across the back. However, only the top half holds the actual lens. The bottom half is simply a
design piece with a flash built into it.
Performance
and Battery Life
Powering the tablet is Qualcomm’s
Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip. This chip is top-tier, but it will handle daily tasks
with ease. The device runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, which is built on Android 14, so
users can expect a smooth and updated software experience.
The battery is one
of the tablet’s biggest highlights, literally. With a huge 12,000mAh capacity
and support for 33W fast charging, the Poco Pad M1 is built to get through long
hours of streaming, reading, or online classes without many breaks to recharge.
Cameras
and Audio
Both the front and rear cameras use
8MP sensors. While they won’t replace a phone camera, they are perfectly fine
for video calls, remote learning, and scanning documents. The tablet also
includes dual stereo speakers and is expected to support Dolby Atmos for better
sound.
A 3.5mm headphone jack is still included, which many users will
appreciate, and a USB-C port handles charging and data. Storage options are
128GB and 256GB.
Size
and What to Expect
The Poco Pad M1 measures 181.65 ×
278 × 7.5 mm and weighs about 610 grams. It’s relatively slim for a device with
such a large battery. Now that it has appeared in benchmark listings, Xiaomi is
likely preparing to introduce it officially.
When it arrives, the Poco Pad M1
should offer a strong mix of features and battery life for anyone looking for a
capable mid-range Android tablet.
