2:37 – Xiaomi is really trying to outdo Apple, huh? Thankfully the Note doesn’t look much like an Apple device. Also, 6.95mm with a 3000mAh battery seems pretty good to me.

2:40 – 2.5D glass, Gorilla Glass 3 and OIS? Schweet.

2:42 – Dat bezel. Still nothing on the price though, which is worrysome.

2:44 – The design is nice. It looks better than the iPhone it’s trying to beat.

2:46 – Lei Jun doesn’t look like Steve Jobs either.

    3:04 – So farm it’s looking like a thinner IUNI U3.

    3:22 – So, it’s a SNAPDRAGON 810 with 4GB RAM for only $371. Amazing.

3:32 – NOPE. The high end one is $532 apparently. Damn.

I guess they must be meaning the first Chinese phone with a Snapdragon 810 because everyone knows LG launched it’s Snapdragon 810 G Flex 2 at CES last week.

uhh more like Snapdragon 810 with 4gb of Ram for $550 (USD). How on earth you got $371 is beyond me. Even when converted to Euro’s that’s still over 450 Euro’s.

Lol hipster CEO wearing jeans with a business shirt.

I’m not that excited with the specs coupled with the price. My vivo xplay has the same specs and it’s over 2 years old now.

      January 15, 2015

It’s got a Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, OIS and is 6.95 mm thin? Where’d you get it? The XPlay I remember has a Snapdragon 600 processor.

Most likely the pro version will release only by June. They use the attention to hype and sell the base version.

XPlay 3s: snap 801, 3GB, 32GB, hi-fi chips, 2K, amazing speakers, f1.8 camera, no OIS, no dual SIM, huge battery (but 2K hurts it – my friend has one). Price on release in December 2013 was 3499 yuan.

Mi Note: snap 801, 3GB, 16/64GB, hi-fi chips, 1080, good speaker (?), f2.0/OIS, dual SIM, good battery w/NEGA display. Price on release in January 2015 is 2299/2799 yuan.

Mi Note Pro: snap 810, 4GB, 64GB, hi-fi, 2k, good speaker (?), f2.0/OIS, dual SIM, good batter w/NEGA display, though 2k might eat into it. Price on release in March 2015 is 3299 yuan.

Actually it’s a little lame that they call it a note witch for me imply that there should be a “s-pen” but there is not as far as i can see, witch means that all smart phones are “note”, so big whoop Lei Jun, It’s just a bigger mi4.

  9. Freeje
    January 15, 2015

    It’s Snapdragon 810 and not 801. 2299 for the 16GB.

    • Angry Mobile Nerd
      January 15, 2015

Wrong. The 2299 (16GB) and 2799 (64GB) models have ye old Snapdragon 801. Only the 3299 model has the Snapdragon 810.

    • Guaire
      January 15, 2015

Sorry but you will got Snapdragon 801 for 2299 yuan.

If you wanna Snapdragon 810 you have to spend 3299 yuan… Well if you are living China.

  10. Aquila
    January 15, 2015

Is not the first snapdragon 810, it’s the second one. The first is LG G Flex 2.

    • Rob
      January 15, 2015

Its the 3rd actually as Samsung released the note 4 in Korea with the 810 a few weeks ago.

  11. January 15, 2015

    Seems more competition for Samsung..!!
Apple is Apple, and I believe iPhone is not going to walk along side with Droids.
Agree or Disagree, its pointless to compare iPhone with any other Non Apple devices.

    January 15, 2015

Andi, please do a camera comparison with the X Shot as soon as you can. I am buying one or the other. My local Vivo store has the Ultimate on sale for $400, so I’m really torn.

By the time you add reseller mark ups this thing will be twice as expensive as the IUNI U3, is it really twice as good?? I know where my money would go and it ain’t this one…
