IUNI U3 Mini could launch on 1st April

iuni u3 mini

IUNI’s latest smartphone could be launched and available to buy as early as the start of next week.

IUNI had their U3 mini on display at MWC, where we were lucky enough to get our hands on the ‘mini’ phone for a quick hands on and get a first impression of it. With a 5-inch 1080 display the U3 Mini might not justify it’s name to some buyers, but at least it is smaller than it’s larger 5.5-inch 2K brother.

Gizchina News of the week

Specifications for the IUNi U3 mini include a Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel front camera and 13 mega-pixel rear. In China IUNI are hoping to attract a female audience by offering the phone in pink, green and white.

Pricing for the phone hasn’t been unveiled but it is surely going to cost less than the U3 which retails at 1999 Yuan.

In reality we are still a few years away from 64 bit being fully utilized. Most consumer will purchase a new smartphone every 2-3 years.

Hello! What is your experience in terms of updates frequency? How often IUNI release new updates? Is there a real chance to get Android 5.0 for this device? thanks!

i just got my iuni u2 and flashed yesterday the newest beta rom (released on 16. march). it´s the same version as the newer u3. last stable version is dated 29. january, but the beta really works fine, haven´t seen a bug yet 🙂 i believe iuni will in future release lollipop even for my, now old, iuni u2 but i really don´t care, kitkat is just fine 🙂

i have it just few days, but i am satisfied, depends on what you are doing with phone, for example i got 4 hours of onscreen time in the evening with low brightness when i was browsing 9gag on wifi, plus that day i made a few calls and downloaded few apps 🙂 now i have 3 hours screen on, wifi turned on for 4 hours and 43% of battery left 🙂 The brightness is set to about 30%, i don´t need more and the screen is really bright
i hope i haven´t written it in too confusing way, if so, i´ll try to write it different way 🙂

Because it’s an international forum and talking your mother tongue in the presence of others is quite rude as you cut them off your discussion/thoughts.

yeah, the wifi is pretty weak, even when you are just few meters near the router the signal strenght fluctuate a it almost never shows full wifi signal bar

Indeed an amazing phone but at 1999 Yuan (which is approximately $320), it will be sold around $360 for international buyers without shipping costs. Finally a total price up to almost $390 which is close to 360€ at actual rates. Conclusion, it is very expensive considering its specs. I pass my turn!

I am curious to see the Xiaomi E4 final pricing comparing the Iuni U3 Mini, I am probably dreaming but I would go for the Xiaomi if it is around $300 for international buyers. Fingers crossed!
