Xiaomi Mi3 to be offered with both Tegra 4 and Snapdragon 800 processors


As the hours count down to the official launch of MIUI V5, the Xiaomi M2S and Xiaomi M2A rumours of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi3 emerge.

According to sources close to Xiaomi, the next generation Xiaomi phone will come with either Nvida Tegra 4 processor or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU depending on the carrier version. Source claim that due to patent issues the China Telecom (CDMA) version of the new Xiaomi phone will use the latest Tegra 4 CPU while the ‘regular’ version ail use the latest quad-core Snapdragon chip.

In addition to processor specs, the same sources also claims that the Xiaomi Mi3 will increase is size to accommodate a larger 5-inch, full HD 1080 display, what’s more it will either feature incredibly narrow bezels are could become the first bezeless phone on the market.

As for the rest of the hardware, we can assume that the Mi3 will have at least 2GB RAM and at least a 13 mega-pixel rear camera and the there is also the possibility of built-in NFC.

    I would rather the snapdragon, there is a reason why all the tegras didn’t have very many design wins and that’s because of tdp. Those tegra chips drain batteries faster than the blood from my face when I watched the new evil dead.
