Xiaomi ‘Red Rice’ spy shots reveal blue version, could run MT6589T


If your not a fan of the ‘Fire Truck’ Red Xiaomi Red Rice’s exterior, you will be happy to see that leaked photos of a light blue version of the phone have been revealed.

PunkPanda, the Weibo user who leaked the image of the blue Xiaomi prototype commented that he is

“99% certain the name (red rice) is just an internal code and the new phone will be available in blue, beige and red”

As for the processor running the Red Rice reports are claiming that a Youth version could use a dual-core Leadertech CPU while a more powerful model could launch with Mediatek’s new 1.5Ghz MT6589T.

The rest of the specs include a 4.7-inc, 720 display, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, 8 mega-pixel rear camera, 2 mega-pixel front and MIUI V5 based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

    Andy when you have a spare moment is it possible for you to do video review of MIUI. From what I know, Xiaomi use this exclusively for their handsets (they might even be the creators of it, correct me if i’m wrong). I know it has gained a huge following. Thx

      Nope, but I would guess August is when we will officially see it and October will be when we can buy it.
