JiaYu G4 receives network license, all we need now is a release date!

JiaYu’s flagship MTK JiaYu G4 has now received it’s Network License here in China! All we are waiting for now is the final release date!

The long long wait for the release of the JiaYu G4 has just moved one step closer to ending! JiaYu have just posted on their forum that the JiaYu G4 has received it’s Network License meaning that the phone can be officially sold on the Chinese mainland.

Gizchina News of the week

The Network License is the final piece of the puzzle which JiaYu have been waiting for before beginning full production of the G4.

This is great news, but what would be even better now is a firm release date for the phone. Some sources are saying it could be as early as this week while others are talking about the end of the month!

Thanks to Norman for the tip.

Is this license only for Basic model (1GB) or it will be also valid for Advance(2Gb)? Do you know if there is any release date for advance model confirmed already?

    Thanks

Is it really worth the wait, or should we just wait & buy the Nexus 5 in the autumn.

    • May 21, 2013

      JiaYu G4 vs Nexus 5? It’s a bit unfair 😉 get the nexus 🙂

humm you’ll have to wait more than that..
in Autumn only the LTE version of the Nexus 4 will be launched as for the Nexus 5 maybe officially announced at the end of the year (as all the previous ones) and won’t bet widely available until January 2013
Remember how hard it was to get the Nexus 4? some people waited for months ..if the prices compensate you can get a chinese phone to relieve the itch 😀

Why are people like that? first they’re just hoping the G4 is released now that it has a licence and a plausible full production date, people are asking for the turbo version..
that’s crazy just buy the phone already in 2014 i’m sure another will make it’s debut

People are like JiaYu. Not launched any smartphone, but announcing new models almost in every week.

Andy, please, in your review about G4 tell some words about display regarding type, brightness during day and night, angles, glare. Is very important for us because we can’t see this thing. Of course we can see the specs, that it have a USB connector, etc.

Well it’s funny to read about the unreleased JiaYu G4, that I am sitting with in my hand right now here in Denmark 😉 Guess I was just lucky!

    • May 22, 2013

Yep a few ‘pre-production’ models have been available for a while

      May 22, 2013

what’s funny is you probably have a beta version

      • May 23, 2013

Of course it is a pre-model, but I am really liking it – no “beta” feelings at all, it’s a great device! 🙂
