Flyme 3.0 Screenshots points a 1080 x 1800 Meizu MX3, launch coming July?

Meizu’s Jack Wong didn’t appear to like all the attention Apple’s iOS 7 was getting yesterday, so leaked screenshots from the next version of the Flyme ROM 3.0 including Meizu MX3 hints!

Gizchina News of the week

The screen shots above and below are from Meizu’s new Flyme 3.0 ROM which according to news reports will launch next month and will be available for the Meizu MX2. However, Meizu fans quickly realised that the screenshots here do not appear from the current generation phone and have a rather different resolution of 1800 x 1080.

If the details are accurate then this would give the MX3 an display ratio of 15:9, where as the Meizu MX2 has a ratio of 16:10.

Interestingly, rumours suggest that Flyme 3.0 won’t be the only big release coming from Meizu in July as many are now speculating the Meizu MX3 could also make an appearance too!

The 1800px must be because of the on screen buttons. I guess MX3 has on screen buttons just like Xperia Z! 🙂

Yup, it’s on-screen buttons for sure. I don’t think any manufacturer makes 1799×1080 panels, that would be just dumb.

I’m not that fond of on-screen buttons, they sort of waste good screen space since they’re always there. Also they screw the screen aspect ratio.

And just like the MX2 😉
