Gizchina News of the week

As we all know the Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset is one of the most powerful on the market, but just how well does it do when combined with a phone packing a 2560 x 1440 resolution display? Very well, is the answer as the Xplay 3S not only scored 36,258 on Antutu, but wiped the floor with the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4 and other top-of-the-range handsets!

A launch date of late November – Early December is on the cards of the Xplay 3S, and it may well end up on my Christmas list in place of a Xiaomi Mi3!

I don’t care what people have to say about it’s 2k display, this thing will be the most beastly of phones when it gets released.

this can’t be a snapdragon processor, they have never scored that high, even in an open-aired dev board.

What are your thoughts on the 6″ screen ?

I’m quite excited about this. Their phones are usually very well designed so I am hoping for a nice thin phone with narrow bezels. I am even thinking to get this instead of an Mi3.

i don’t like big phones. thats my problem with this vivo :/ crying for not have that specs in a smaller phone yet.
i think 5 inch is my limit. In fact, i rather have a 4.7 or 4.5 inch phone, but unfortunately the best specs are in 5 inch phones or more, so i can go a little bit further.

If only it had forum support like Oppo does, that would be a bonus too.

Can’t wait for all the complaints about how expensive it is -because it most certainly will be- “for a Chinese phone”. Vivo has never been shy about charging and this one should be no different since it’s supposedly packed with every cutting edge gew-gaw on the market. 4G is a surprise; Vivo must be testing on the demonstration networks already in place. Interesting move since they are the only manufacturer to my knowledge that has publicly announced a 4G phone. Hopefully there will be a 4G network publicly available in China when it comes up for sale. So far, though, it’s all a lot of definitely-maybes from the government.

The last Xplay was 2999 Yuan, I hope they can keep it around the same for this for the Xplay 3S and I may well be tempted. 4G has meant to have been rolled out here in Qingdao, but when I ask about it everyone is telling me it isn’t available yet…
