Update: Could this be the Oppo Find 7? No it’s the Oppo R89T with Snapdragon 600

Update:

We have now learned that the phone in the photo is in fact the Oppo R829, a Snadragon 600 powered phone with 4.5-inch display which will go on sale in China only for around 2000 Yuan! Not the Find 7 but still interesting. Thanks to Josef for the tip!

Earlier today Oppo posted the above image on their Official Weibo account spurring many questions, the most important being “is this the Oppo Find 7?”

We are certain that Oppo must be working on a successor to the very successful Oppo Find 5 so could this be it? Is this the Oppo Find 7? While we can’t be sure of that at this stage we do know for sure that this is a real Oppo phone and it will be ‘coming soon’, but is there anything else to go on?

Gizchina News of the week

Well the message with the image states the rear panel has a ‘holographic’ finish, which is certainly something we would expect to see on a premium phone. Looking at the image we can made out the rear camera and LED mounted to the body in a traditional non-rotation fashion, the rear appears to be glass and it looks like there is an alloy border around the edge.

As for specifications for the Oppo Find 7 we have nothing solid to go on, but we can make an educated guess the processor will be a Snapdragon 800, there will be at least 2GB RAM (3GB likely), 4G LTE support and could we see a 2K display? It’s possible!

What do you think of the image? Is it the rear of a flagship phone? Is this the first image of the Oppo Find 7?
