Parrot jumps in to CES with the launch of mini and jumping drones


Parrot have comes to CES with two new drone models, the flying MiniDrone and Parrot Jumping Sumo drone, details and video here.

Parrot have expanded their range of app controlled drones to include the new Parrot MiniDrone and Parrot Jumping Sumo drones. Both of the drones are designed to be controlled via an Android or iOS device and have new and unique features.

The MiniDrone is a small quad-copter which can be attached to a wheeled carriage and deployed via remote. The MiniDrone boasts an ultrasonic sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and downwards facing camera. Rather than using WIFI to, the MiniDrone uses Bluetooth and can be operated up to 160 feet away with a flight time of 6-7 minutes.

If you prefer your drone fun to be mostly ground based the Parrot Jumping Sumo if for you. The 2 wheeled machine uses WIFI to be controlled about your home and has a run time of about 20 minutes. The Sumo has a front facing camera, but most interestingly has the ability to jump up to 3 feet!

Parrot have yet to announce a launch date and price for either gadget so keep updated for more details.
