Both new JiaYu models are highly anticipated smartphones, the F1 for it’s low price and WCDMA 3G support, the JiaYu S2 as it is the first flagship octacore phone from JiaYu this year.

JiaYu will be releasing just the flagship version of the JiaYu S2 on the 29th which gets a 1.7Ghz MT6592 chipset, 2GB RAM, 32GB memory, 13 mega-pixel Panasonic main camera, Sony 8 mega-pixel front camera, and 5-inch 1080 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

jiayu s2 review

The specs of the S2 are impressive but the size of the phone is the real attention grabber here. The body is only 6mm thick and the 67.5mm wide with a 5-inch FHD display! Other features include OTG and, WCDMA 3G and dual SIM support. Pricing in China will be 1699 Yuan for this version (around $273.99), we will have to see what resellers set the international pricing at.

So …. Robin, don’t you think that JIAYU are definitely very TRICKY company … you’ll ask me WHY ???

Because they are expanding thier stores and they are opening official store at Germany, because all the mobile carriers at Germany support only WCDMA 2100 Mhz.

So JIAYU is showing middle finger to the rest of the European Mobile Carriers

because of the missing WCDMA 900 Mhz frequency support in all of their phones (including this S2 which is currently the best one) ??? WTF

I guess they just don’t care yet. Give them a year or two, and if Xiaomi and Oppo grow really successful, they’ll probably expand.

I was under the impression that they were going to support more bands with the S2. Need 850mhz where I am.

Jiayu’s phones always look great but their band support has been absolutely abysmal from the word “go”.

they are just interested in chinese market… 1,2 billion people with great market expanding against “only” 750 millions and where big part of the users buy phones with the help of the operators

jiayu is still too small, apart of that if they were really interested in european market (750 million) they would cover 900 band also. Here people as in the us buy phones with operator contributors, in my city about 12 shops were open in the last few months, but chinese phone market here is still unknown, I saw yesterday a woman refusing a zopo and an hisense to buy a single core and ugly screen samsung, “I don’t know this brand”. Some of these shops are closing, one lasted just one month. In china also they can sell phones wihout paying all the patents that other companies pay to be in europe, It’s not only a problem of taxes.

Based on my experience, the lady could be forgiven for not buying the Zopo 😛

I’m currenly using the C2 Platinum and it has a lot of problems.

I could say the same about samsung :P, but it’s true that last generation of zopo models had problems, another true story is that jiayu spanish monobrand store seems to sell really well, my sister had to wait lot of minutes to buy a g4 there but official rom from jiayu.es gave many headaches

that is a coincidence… the german store is an official reseller, as is the one located in spain or the new one in italy… they just sell jiayu branded phones… here in spain mobile companies support both 900 and 2100.

I would know too! and also would know what’s happends with the Battery.

If this one comes with the 2Ghz MT6592 like the TCL idol X+ or either the new MT6595 with 2Ghz too but also with LTE 4G there where my sure election
