Want a red iOcean G7? You had better be really fast!

red iocean g7

iOcean are releasing a limited edition red version of the phablet sized iOcean G7, but perhaps someone took the idea of “limited edition” too seriously!

The iOcean G7 is the largest iOcean device on sale, at 6.44-inch it is pratically a tablet with phone  features thrown in. Currently the big beasty is only available with a rubberised finish to aid grip, but a new limited edition red model will soon be available for the more fashion concious.

Gizchina News of the week

Usually limited edition might mean just a few 1000 pieces will be offered, but in the case of the red iOcean G7 it is being reported that only 22 phones will be up for grabs! It is not clear if these phablets will be on sale, or offered as prizes, but with such limited numbers expect them to be in high demand.

The iOcean G7 has a 6.44-inch 1080 display, octacore MT6592 processor, 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel main camera and dual SIM support.

I don’t think they had to do that….making and producing only 22pcs ??
such expenses to produce and giving it, I think the Iocean should have had at least build 100pcs so that it was worth of of producing it…
I am still amazed wei shamma……?

This “phone” probably isn’t in high demand so creating too many “limited edition” nobody want is probably a bad idea.

It is just a red plastic back battery cover, that’s all.

If you look at the pictures its a white model (like the G7 I have) with a red cover on it. 🙂

You can tell because you can see the white bezel running around the device.

If you are in China, you can actually buy the red cover for less than 10USD direct from the iocean site. They don’t seem to accept international orders, unfortunately.

And on another iocean note, they seriously need to bring out a decent silicon bumper like the one for the X7 – the flip yellow/tan slip case is awful! There are virtually no options for protecting this beautiful large display…
