The octacore Mediatek MT6595 has been seen in numerous leaks and even at MWC, but finally the company are officially launching the next-generation processor at an event in Shenzhen.

Mediatek’s MT6595 chipset is one of the most talked about developments in the Chinese smartphone industry at present. The chipset will not only bring native support for 4G LTE, but is also rumoured to offer similar performance as the Qualcomm Snapdraogn 801 SoC.

No matter how big is the perfomance, people will not give a shit if they will be stuck on 4.4.2 forever. Mediatek need realease their Source code, if they want be big and trusted.

Be good when it rolls out, now hoipe the phone manufacturers partner the chip with a big battery, 3,000Mah at least Now a JiaYu G5 would be nice with that SoC
