Blackview Crown comes with octacore, 2GB RAM for just $180

blackview crown

Blackview? Ever heard of them? No we haven’t either, but the Blackview Crown caught our attention for costing just $180 yet packing octacore and more.

We have seen octacore smartphones drop in price over the past few months, and thats great. What isn’t great is that these price drops are usually accompanied by lower than low specs, tiny amounts of RAM and other hindering performance downgrades. Which is what makes the Blackview Crown a little special.

Gizchina News of the week

You see, Blackview have put together a $180 Android smartphone that not only has a 1.7Ghz MT6592 processor, but also 2GB RAM, Android 4.4 Kitkat, 13 mega-pixel main and 5 mega-pixel front cameras, dual SIM and micro SD card slot. If you wanted to be picky you could complain the 5-inch display is a 1280 x 720 HD panel instead of a FHD 1080 unit, but I think we can let that slide considering the price.

It’s not the prettiest of phones on the market today, but for $180 its a well rounded smartphone for the Android enthusiast.

            Hi Wolfgang,

He has a bright display (around 400 nits, readable in sunlight). The gps is good( Accuracy is very good used by way to work-home). The contrast of the screen is around 1:1200/1300(good for lcd). The screen looks sharp, not a muddy look!

I can everyone recommend to buy this phone.

            -premium design and feeling
            -fast
            -good batterylife and gps

720p is perfect for 5 inch. But would be interesting to know how big the battery is. All in all it sounds great though….
