Nubia Z9 has a spy photo shoot at MWC

While at MWC I had heard a rumour that the Nubia Z9 was on site, but after a good search around the ZTE and Qualcomm stand turned up nothing I gave up, but someone found it.

Someone managed to get hold of both the white and black versions of the Nubia Z9 at MWC and get a very up close and personal hands on time with both and photos to prove it.

The photos treat us to a very detailed look at the Z9 ahead of launch and show us the new double glass design with alloy chassis. The Chassis also shows to trays one labeled as a SIM tray and the other for micro SD cards.

Gizchina News of the week

It’s interesting that Nubia have given their new flagship a single LED flash considering that in the past they have placed a lot of emphasis on the photography capabilities of their products. Speaking of which the Z9 is rumoured to get OIS and a 16 mega-pixel camera on the flagship version.

Chinese media are reporting that there will be 3 versions of the Nubia Z9 released once launched, with a 5.5-inch 2K model taking the flagship roll, with a Snapdragon 810 processor and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Well considering the Z7 with a 2k screen is selling for over $700 to international markets, his comment isn’t that far out there.

        Hey Andi,
Now that the Z9 will be out soon….I guess that the chances to read a review from the Z7 Max from you are rather slim, or ? I’d have loved to see a review… Also, will the target group for the Z9 be Asia only, like the Z7 ?
        Cheers

The Z7 was dual sim, I would imagine this one will be too.

Kinda reminds me of the Mi Note, and that is not a bad thing. I had a Nubia Z7 for a bit and while I ultimately sold it for a Mi 4, it was a very good phone. ZTE has come a long way with the Nubia series.

Funny thing, there are cases for the Z7 Mini that make it look like a Z9, it’s a shame that NubiaUI is shit.

Nubia UI is horrible but there are other options such as MIUI which are readily available.

I’m waiting for a know brand MT6752 phone with 2G and 3G 850MHz bands, once someone release one with those bands and below $230 I will sell this piece of shit of z7 Mini and never look back, also I have tested like 10 ROMs for it and every single one is full of bugs, currently using the most popular custom ROM based on the official ROM.

        Great hardware(and price), horrible software.

Ahh must have read it wrong. It is amazing that in 2015 phones still don’t offer all 3G bands.

ZTE is likely following Samsung;s footsteps.
The design is almost the same for every phone
    ( Correct me if I’m wrong )

I think is different for the nubia series ( but your opinion is true for the old zte ) : this z9 remember me a lot the xperia z3c …

Nubia is a sub brand of ZTE, kind of like the Honor series for Huawei or Moto will be for Lenovo. So all the Nubia phones will have a similar look to them. Regular ZTE phones have a wide range of product designs.
