Mlais will launch Mlais M7 and MX next week, here are the details so far

mlais m7

Next week Mlais will release their Mlais M7 and MX models, and ahead of release, have shared more details about their upcoming smartphones.

Another week another phone launch, well two at least and both from Mlais. Both the flagship Mlais M7 and the large capacity Mlais MX will be announced along with pricing, but how will they compare with the rest of the field?

The Mlais M7 will head up the Mlais line-up. Sitting above the Mlias M52, the M7 will share the Mediatek MT6752 processor, LTE support and rather surprisingly the same resolution 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display.

RAM is upgraded on the M7 to 3GB, and Android 5.0 Lollipop will come on the phone out of the box as well as a touch ID style rear mounted fingerprint scanner. We also know the phone has a claimed 8 mega-pixel front and 13 mega-pixel rear camera, but we don’t know the battery size or the retail price of the phone.

Gizchina News of the week

mlais mx

Many phone makers are launching phones with larger batteries, and so too are Mlias. Their big battery phone is the Mlias MX with 4800mAh battery. The phone also has 2GB RAM, 16GB memory and Mediatek MT6732 quad-core chipset.

Again pricing for the Mlais MX isn’t confirmed, but we guess around $160 if previous Mlais phone launches are anything to go by.

So what do you make of the latest Mlais devices? Is a 5.5-inch HD panel enough for a flagship these days? How much would you be willing to pay?

A 5-inch phone with a 4800mAh battery, not too thick bezels and an affordable estimated price. The comments are going to have a field day with this one.

Yep, there is a huge black border around the display.

Personally I don’t mind bezels on phones, I will take something like this over a bezeless display any day.

Did someone hack your account? For someone who wants the best bargain possible you want them to raise the price?

        My thoughts exactly.

ahaha , thankfully no.. my account is still in the hands of the same bargain hunter 😀
actually Mlais have already done so much squeezing on the price factor that i actually thought they’d be better off raising a few bucks for the sake of a better display

The 1080p display will take a lot of battery life and really give no big difference in looks dept. I have the M52 now and replaced an LG G3 which has a 2k display. And to tell you the truth i at least can’t tell the difference! The M52’s display is vivid and crisp and because it is IPS it has great viewing angles to boot.

Mlais has a history of lying about battery life. We will see whether its really 4800mah.

They have a “new” quick charge system in the pipeline, not sure if it’s going to be on either of these models.

Mlais has a history of lying about their battery capacity, I’d expect maybe 3000mah if you are lucky.

Looks like MLAIS is pulling an Elephone, making as many “new” cheap models as they can, to cash-in on their “fame”. Not a good move in my book.

Elephone has at least improved. When they first came out it was just cheap phone after cheap phone but now they are starting to actually make some pretty good phones.

Question for anyone here, how in the world do you pronounce this brand?

    • Marco Lancaster
      April 25, 2015

      Guess is something like “EmLais”

They don’t make it easy with some of these names. Took me about a year to learn how to pronounce Huawei, I had heard it mentioned in so many different ways until I saw a promotional video on Youtube.

          April 25, 2015

Absolutely agreed! About Huawei I’ve also taken a time to learn, and always saw different people calling it in a different way lol

            April 25, 2015

The funniest thing is I spent some time in Cambodia and next to my office was a Huawei store. Everyone there pronounced it wrong, they were all pronouncing it like “Ha-Why”.

              April 25, 2015

              Lol 😀 haha
I guess would be way easy if brands do something like Xiaomi has did. They are about to launch their products here in Brazil, and are always posting some promo videos, one of them was a video teaching how to pronounce Xiaomi.

Xiaomi is very good about their brand awareness. Their entire success is social media driven.

I really hope that they could do better than this, boring back cover and ugly fingerprint scanner. On the other hand, the battery is good. Such big battery must make the phone very thick.
