With the price of Android Wear devices still quite high, Chinese tech makers are still trying to break in to the market with their own cheaper alternatives. Here is the latest from Zeaplus, the DM360.
As you can see by the design and the name of the Zeaplus DM360, this is a phone that has been inspired by the Moto 360, and even boasts a similar round display, but unlike the Moto device Zeaplus aren’t running Android Wear.
Much like Android Wear devices the Zeaplus DM360 needs to be connected via Bluetooth to a smartwatch to make the most of it, but even then it lacks some core features like Google Now voice search and Google Maps navigation. Instead the watch acts as a simple pedometer, with call answering feature and message notification.
Gizchina News of the week
The round display is held in place with a stainless steel body which is apparently sweat and waterproof to IP53 standards. The display has a resolution of 240 x 240 and a built-in 320mAh battery powers the whole thing/
So far we are not seeing a whole lot of movement in the wearable market. Is it a market that has taken off well? Or are we all waiting for more feature packed devices to strap to our wrists?

$99 for call answering and message notifications only? Thanks but no thanks.
This watch looks nice, not bad with waterproof
IP53, you can’t really call that waterproof. IP53 means it is ok if some drops come on it. no submersion. then you need atleast IP62 and if you want to swim IP67
with IP57 you can’t swim.
” temporary immersion to at least 1m from bottom and 15cm from top of object ”
My Mi Band has IP67, shower is ok, went swimming and it died after.
