ZTE Axon with fingerprint sensor spotted, could be China-only

ZTE calls the Axon the “first phone made in the US, for the US”. But by the looks of it, the Axon might actually start being sold in China… with better specifications.

The ZTE Axon (with model name ZTE A2015) was just certified in China with a very similar design as it’s USA counterpart, but with an addition — a fingerprint sensor. The Axon is seen by some as the ultimate OnePlus 2 alternative with some interesting specs that actually go neck-and-neck with the OnePlus 2.

Here’s what the Axon comes with: 5.5-inch display with 2560 x 1440p resolution, Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, and a 3000mAh battery. Now you probably know why it’s being pitted as a OnePlus 2 alternative.

That does make for quite a pretty reading specs sheet, and a fingerprint reader only adds some extra bling to it. The ZTE Axon can be pre-ordered in the US for now, but should show up in a couple other markets soon, including Canada. The fingerprint scanner enabled version might be China-only, though; we should know soon.

I guess they want to keep the best stuff for themselves…

Isnt that what Samsung does too? Their Korean GS6 and Note are generally better than the others.
