Ecoo E05 hands on video posted

Ecoo aren’t being shy about their Ecoo E05 model, and have already posted a hands on video of the new phone over on their YouTube channel.

Ecoo are still a relatively new company and have only launched a handful of phones so far, but all have offered quite a lot in the way of features for the relatively low asking price.

The E05 aims to continue that tradition when it launches later in the month with a 5-inch FHD display, 3GB RAM and Mediatek MT6753 octacore chipset. Construction of the E05 is a metal chassis, plastic which allows access to the removeable battery.

Taking the back panel off shows us the LDS antennas of the phone too, which is the main focus of the hands on video above. Although the video is posted as a GPS test, it also give us an early hands on glimpse with the new phone.

Econ haven’t announced a price for the E05, however resellers are already listing the phone for just under $200. We feel that this is a little much for the device, and finally retail prices will settle around the $170 mark.

ECOO was bought by Elephone, so this new smartphone is made by Elephone.

I ve said it before:Ecoo is a Elphone brand/company from some time. That s just my opinion. http://www.elephone.hk/readnews/1106.html – As you can see on elephone official site -Ecoo phones are listed since december 2014 so why would they do that if it wasn t an elephone sub brand/company all this time?Even the two company signs look similar. So where from you have this information that elephone just bought ecoo? I also read here on gizchina that elephone and ecoo are the same company.

Yup. I think I read somewhere that Ecoo is a subcompany of Elephone. You know, like Nubia and ZTE.

The problem is is that Elephone phones (although the same company) has better specs. Like the Elephone Vowney (lite) with MUCH better battery (4000mAh) and features like NFC. So too bad, Ecoo should be fully rebranded to avoid confusion. Just get a Vowney instead.
