Elephone's
Ecoo sub brand are claiming a world's first today with a short hands on video showing the phone runs a
Mediatek Helio P10 chipset.
The
Mediatek Helio P10, aka the Mediatek MT6755, is an upcoming SoC from the Taiwanese chip maker that will make its way in to plenty of new Chinese smartphones. The Ecco E06 is purported to be the first phone with the octacore chip, but the
Elephone P9000 (from the same phone maker) will also be one of the ealier P10 releases.
The above video shows us the
Ecoo E06 for the first time, and goes in to Antutu were we see some specification details of the phone. From the screens on display we see that the
Mediatek MT6755 in the E06 has a Mali T860 GPU and will run at just under 2.0Ghz.
Antutu also reveals that this version of the Ecco E06 has a 1920 x 1080 display, 16GB internal memory and is running Android 5.1 Lollipop. Once released
Elephone says that the
Ecoo E06 will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
