Back when we reviewed the
Chuwi Vi10, we found the device to be a highly potent one, especially keeping in mind the fact that it sold for less than $150 to international buyers.
The Vi8 is another
Chuwi tablet that's fairly popular. Chuwi is set to follow it up with a Vi8 Plus next month. The factory promise that it'll have a genuine copy of Windows 10 installed (perhaps with an Android installation for dual booting.)
Chuwi have been sly about the specifications of this upcoming tablet and have hardly revealed exact numbers. What Chuwi did tell (via a Weibo message) is that the Vi8 Plus will have a Cherry Trail processor, and a USB Type-C interface in addition to an HDMI out port -- no surprises here.
Chuwi have been able to maintain an almost perfect balance between price and features (and reliability), which makes the company worth watching out for. Along with Teclast and Cube, Chuwi makes the most noise on the Chinese tablet scene.
