You can now pre-order the UMi Touch

What UMi call their first ‘user-defined’ phone, the UMi Touch, is now on pre-order.

The phone is among the better looking UMis we’ve come across. However, UMi have been a little dodgy with their software in the past… which is why the company is offering early adopters a little benefit.

If you pre-order the Touch, you’ll get it for $149.99 which is $30 below the retail price of $179.99.

The Touch is seen as a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 rival, with its all-metal body, fingerprint sensor and large battery. Let’s take a look at the full specifications of the phone.

No it won’t anymore because the cost of the phone at its presale price is below the min value for the coupon now lol

This is not exactly a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 rival. There is a huge difference between the Helio X10 and the MT6753 plus 32GB ROM and 16GB ROM arent exactly equal, are they?

Nope you’re right there, but there’s also a substantial difference in price too!

Although yes, going back on it, it shouldn’t be directly compared to a Redmi Note 3…

Substantial difference in price? Resellers have the Note 3 for as little as $160.

this thing of the cctv camera is an hoax floating around since the phone has been announced, that one is 238, not 328. 328 is a 13mpx not on sony catalogue, I know for sure it has been an exclusive sensor for huawei until a few months ago, now maybe it’s starting to be disclosed to other producers, if properly implemented we should see something good from the sensor, which is superior to imx214.

But if I google for imx 328 there are meny different cctv camera models which use this sensor. Either all those manufacturers are wrong or umi is wrong. Judging by the track record of umi, you can guess who’s right

Are you sure this Umi Touch is a direct competitor with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 ?

    Since when Mediatek MT6753 = Mediatek X10 ?

Even pricing also same with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 16GB version.
So i don’t see any benefit to choose Umi Touch compare to Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

Maybe someone can enlighten me ?

Umi touch can never be a substitute to Xiaomi Redmi note 3.

      Believe UMI and believe anything.

      It’s more like mt6753<mt6795

Comparing this thing with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is Laughable.

How could you compare Elephant and goat.

UMI always have a terrible camera right from day one with buggy ROM like their brother Elephone.

Umi Zero camera wasn’t exactly terrible…

Also Rome and Rome X for their pricetag have pretty decent cameras, compared to elephone and ulefone I found them a step forward.
