The LeEco Le 1s (review here) has seen a great response in the Indian market. It hasn’t been one entire month since LeEco announced their first phones for the Indian market, but the brand is ‘everywhere’.

This can be attributed to (i) a solid phone offering for not a lot of money and (ii) smart advertising.

Cricket (the sport) is what sells in India, and LeEco have been smart enough to realise that. The recently concluded T20 series between India and Sri Lanka saw a lot of LeEco adverts on the boundary hoardings.

Not just that, LeEco have also advertised full-front page on some of the country’s leading dailies.

Coming back to the subject of discussion here, LeEco have announced that their Le 1s will be available to buyers registration-free starting 25th February.

The flash sales that happened up until now required buyers to be registered with LeEco (via Flipkart), which is what is going to change now.
