Oukitel K6000 Pro launching soon but still no word on the Premium

oukitel k6000 pro

Oukitel leaked that they would launch two additional versions of the K6000 this year, one is near to launching but the other is still nowhere to be found.

It was around November last year when the two new K6000 phones were first mentioned in official Oukitel documents. The two extra phones were the K6000 Pro with a new chipset, more RAM and Android 6.0, while the K6000 Premium was a 2K Helio X20 phone.

We are still waiting on final details of the Premium version, but Oukitel have confirmed the K6000 Pro’s specs have been finalised and that it is going to launch soon.

The final specifications for the phone include Android 6.0, an octacore MT6753 chipset, dual SIM, 5.5-inch FHD display, 13 meg-pixel rear camera, 5 mega-pixel front camera, and 6000mAh battery. As the original leaks mentioned the Pro will also get 3GB RAM, but now now it also has 32GB internal storage rather than 16GB.

If security is your thing then you will be happy that the metal phone features a rear fingerprint scanner.

Oukitel have even confirmed the LTE bands of the K6000 Pro which are 1/3/7/20. Other details induce OTG and an FM radio.

If you wonder what the phone might look like then take a look at the following video.

Oukitel will launch the phone very soon. Is this something you would consider owning?

Good ROM size. Ugly design. oukitel never update the software, this is terrible, I will risk to buy a mobile phone is not updated.

Depends if anything needs fixing, perhaps they just got it pretty much right first time.

that is so true, updates shouldnt be frequent, but rather needed for fixing things or maybe going to a better os

I have yet to find a phone that gets everything right the first time lol. Even from the larger companies. Not to mention Android is an ever changing environment with new apps released every day, some apps cause problems in different ROM’s.

Like I said, no problems so far, what more can you ask for. If something needed fixing I’d be crying out for an update, but it doesn’t so why worry. I have other (fairly recent) phones that I wish would receive an update, but have little hope, but really the K6000 is fine as it is, so it’s a non issue.

Yeah Oukitel is a standout from other Chinese companies for support. They seem to have some great in-house coders.

Oukitel need to get bold and ditch this weak option. K6000 Premium is the way to go.

yea I can’t believe that they didn’t even push it up to a P10.

The regular one is ~$120 on gearbest .. this should come in around $140 given how little they improved it.

      March 4, 2016

The 6753 is still a good budget SoC. For some people it is more than powerful enough to do what they need.

As every company they probably have a timeline and goals to accomplish. Pro will be released in may, so I won’t expect the Premium to appear before October.

Chinese phones need to start working on U.S. cellular phone bands, and not just a few, but all Bands.

Yes, I agree with you. When the Chinese phones adopt the 4G bands in America and other countries in North America, the people there can have more choice.
