Teclast has a few smaller tablets in the offering, but the new TBook 16 is definitely not one of them. It comes with a rather large 11.6-inch display.
Unlike other dual-booting devices we’ve been witnessing, the TBook 16 isn’t a laptop/netbook, but a standalone tablet. You can, of course, pair it with a keyboard. But it doesn’t come with one attached to its body.
Gizchina News of the week
As for the specifications, the TBook 16 comes with the 64-bit, quad-core Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 that has also been found inside a lot of other new tablets. With that, the device has 4GB RAM, 64GB on-board storage and 2 mega-pixel cameras on the front and rear.
The 11.6-inch panel of the TBook 16 has a resolution of 1920 x 1080p, aka Full HD. The tablet comes with an 8000mAh battery, and is priced $237 shipped.
Regarding its capability to dual boot, the tablet can boot into either Android 5.1 Lollipop or Windows 10 right out of the box.
Haha, yes, indeed 🙂
At least this one has 4GB of RAM though compared to the 2GB in just about every tablet from China these days.
I disagree: most (serious) brands have 2/32 or 4/64 products. It’s just a matter of price 🙂
What are these “serious” brands? I have been in the market for a Chinese tablet and nearly everyone has 2GB.
Teclast, Cube are my two favorite brands, but Chuwi did good stuff too (Hi12 for example http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_289082.html)…
The only Teclast tablet I could find with 4GB was the X98 Plus. Is it any good?
A co-worker of mine bought one last December, and was really pleased with it. But he sold it a few weeks after, because he fell in love with the Teclast X16 Power (Pro is nice too) 🙂

Good to know. I really like the look of it. I don’t know much of Chinese tablets. I wanted the Mipad 2 but the 2GB really scared me away from it.
Not only the 2GB RAM… the screen size is too small too 🙂
I currently use a Nexus 7 so anything is bigger than that lol
The smaller size Teclast Tbook 11 looks interesting as well. It has the same specs, only a bit smaller battery and only 10.6″ screen. But cheaper as well.
True. The Tbook11 is only $178 from Banggood and has much the same specification: http://www.banggood.com/Original-Box-Teclast-Tbook-11-Intel-Z8300-Quad-Core-1_44GHz-10_6-Inch-Dual-Boot-Tablet-p-1051035.html?p=JQ26191551677201504Z
balco asking for suggestions … the end is nigh !
Lol, give him a rest! Nobody can be top-informed on every subject 🙂
i know , just kidding with him 🙂
I fully admit I am clueless when it comes to tablets. I bought a Nexus 7 in 2012 when it launched and that’s the only tablet I have used since.
