Up until early 2010's, Chinese brands were best known for ripping off other popular phones. One such popular phone happened to be the Apple iPhone.

Since then, a lot has changed; today, the Chinese phone industry is threatening to take over the world market. There are some truly nice phones coming out of China; the Huawei P9, OnePlus 3, ZUK Z2, to name a few.
That said, there's still the little bit inspiration that some companies lack, and look to other brands for. In this case, it's BBK's Vivo that decided to 'recreate' the Jet Black color option of the iPhone 7. Vivo introduced the Vivo X7 in Obsidian Black, which is basically a rip off of the super-glossy-and-scratch-prone Jet Black of the iPhone 7.
