Stunning OnePlus 4 Concept Runs 8GB RAM, Lineage OS and Waterproof

OnePlus has gone form strength to strength since they went public those few years ago, and while the brand isn’t still at that same heady heights it was during the release of the OPO, it’s now a highly regarded phone brand garnering top reviews from around the web.

Last year OnePlus launched the OP3 and then a slightly updated version called the OP3T, this lack of a a completely new phone launch has left us and fans of the brand waiting to see what they could come up with for the all new OP4, and perhaps this is the closest first look we can hope for for sometime.

DBS Designing have taken aspects of the original OnePlus One, OnePlus Two and OnePlus 3 to create an all new concept phone.

This OnePlus 4 concept features a borderless design to the left and right of the 5.5-inch 2k display, and a narrower chin and forehead than we have seen on previous OnePlus phones.

Gizchina News of the week

Like current OnePlus phones, the OP4 has a home button/fingerprint scanner on the chin with capacitive buttons on either side for navigating through the out of the box Lineage OS system.

OnePlus 4 Specifications

Hardware specifications for the OnePlus 4 are all top of the line, as you would expect, including dual 18 mega-pixel rear cameras, Snapdragon 835 chipset, 8GB RAM, 256GB internal memory, and 5000mAh battery. A more affordable version of the phone may also be release with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory.

DASH charge also makes a comeback and it’s very good to see the phone would also be waterproof too!

So what do you think of this OnePlus 4 concept? Is this the type of phone you would like to see launched? Would you make any changes?

See that the battery works for at least 10 hrs. With WiFi without getting heated up, otherwise it is useless

If these were the specs and the phone would cost 500 to 600 bucks max,I would buy it without hesitation provided that it has no major issues.

5000mAh + Waterproof + good RAM and ROM combination. Yes sir this would be mine, even at 400 EUR+

The only drawback for me is the 2K screen. Useless battery waste. 1080p is more than enough at that size.

Back looks like OP2 (+ with dual camera)

2K screen is pretty useless, 1080p is enough. And it seem like OnePlus is trying to get rid of OxygenOS (which is bad for current OP device users, less support)

This concept design is not by OPO. Read the post again. OOS is not going anywhere.

OP3T -> OP4 (or OP5, because number 4 is unlucky number in China) is far better upgrade than any other device upgrade so far.

5000mAh battery, SD835, 8GB RAM, Bigger UFS 2.1 supported storage, waterproof, dual 18 mega-pixel rear cameras.

Price could be worse thing about this, I bet it is around 549 dollars.

Front kinda looks like the Axon 7 but without the great front facing speakers!

On another note, their mock-up floats!

The very idea that OnePlus would abandon their Oxygen OS; which they just recently announced plans to merge with their Chinese counterOS H2OS is beyond absurd and even more when you say they would replace it with Lineage OS considering its history. Even 8gb is a stretch for them at this point…this concept video is just off

What’s the point of writing something like this when we all know, very well, that the phone will not be like this? It’s going to be very disappointing when it comes out if you hype it like this. It’s not going to have “dual 18MP” cameras and a 5000mAh battery.

And, I’m confident they’re going to have big bezels, like usual.
