Xiaomi Mi 6 sketches appear, confirm what we already know

Time is ticking away for the next Xiaomi flagship model and we’re getting more impatient I guess. Today a set of 3 sketches of the purported Xiaomi Mi 6 surfaced on Weibo and have really created a lot of discussions on the design of the upcoming model.

According to the -not confirmed yet- sketches, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will basically retain the design we already knew the past few weeks from other rumors: two bezels on the top and bottom of the display, and practically none on its sides, with a Home Button below the display that will probably house a fingerprint sensor.

Gizchina News of the week

On the bottom side the phone will probably host a USB Type-C port along with the necessary external speaker grills. On the back side of the device the Mi logo will stay as usual on the bottom half part, along with a dual camera setup and a LED flash above.

New rumors suggest that the upcoming model will be available in 3 variants: two of them will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC and a third will pack a Mediatek Helio X30 SoC. The most powerful of the Snapdragon models will have quad HD resolution supporting dual-edge curved OLED display, 6 GB of RAM, 256 GB native storage, and dual rear camera, while the other will be equipped with a flat quad HD OLED display, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB internal storage and dual rear camera (again).

As always all of the above are considered to be rumors, so we all take it with a pinch (or two) of salt.
