Xiaomi Mi MIX is one of those smartphones that really impressed us during the last year and surely made Xiaomi officials to re-think their whole manufacturing process as a whole.

Gizchina News of the week

The device needs a special treatment in order to produce its tri-bezel less display and also its ceramic coating, which resulted in huge delays and reduced production numbers. This led to mediocre availability for quite some time now, but according to new reports all these will be a thing of the past, since the Chinese company finally managed to solve all of the aforementioned problems.

An insider revealed that now Xiaomi has enough stock of all 3 available Mi MIX variants (black, pearl white, black-gold ceramic) in its official store, because now all the challenges with the production of the ceramic body have been resolved.

I guess you already know by now that the Mi MIX comes with a 6.4 inch tri-bezel less display, 4/6GB of RAM, 64/128GB storage and a 4400 mAh battery along with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It is currently priced at ¥3499 (~$508) for the 4GB/128GB model and can reach up to ¥3999 (~$580) for the 6GB/256GB model.

Oh, there’s a Mi MIX 2 currently in the works by Xiaomi designers, scheduled to be unveiled in the coming months, but we will talk about it soon.

If Xiaomi would make a 5.5 or 5.7 inch Mix I might buy it, but a 6.44 inch phone is too large for me.

6.44 Mi Mix is almost the same as a normal 5.5 inch phone like iPhone or 5.7 like Galaxy Note 7.

Not true. It’s wider and taller than the Huawei 6 inch Mate 8.

Almost. Almost the same. I don’t think those 2mm between this phone and the Galaxy S7 will mean much to anybody. Especially since the curved screen of the S7 will mean it is much harder to hold than the Mi MIX.

I agree. I would be even happier with a 5″ Mi Mix

I like 5 inch phones too. The problem is that there are relatively few good ones to choose from other than budget offerings, at least compared to the more popular size – 5.5 inches. I really liked the Xiaomi Mi 5 – close to 5 inches.

Look for an old Sharp Aquos then.

At least the Mi6 is 5.15″, the smallest I’ve seen for an SD835 phone.
