ASUS X00ID “mystery” model appears on GFXbench with dual cameras

A new “mystery” ASUS model appeared recently on GFXBench database and it surely looks like the Taiwanese company is getting ready to add another smartphone in their portfolio.

ASUS X00ID

Gizchina News of the week

According to its listing, the device has the model number ASUS X00ID, it packs an 5,5 inch HD display (1280x720p) and it is expected to be equipped with a Qualcomm 8-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz (Snapdragon 430 presumably). it will offer 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and will possibly rely on the Adreno 505 GPU for its graphics performance.

What’s interesting about this specific model is the fact that it comes with a dual camera setup on its back, capable of shooting 4K videos with two sensors (13MP+5MP). There’s also a front facing 8MP selfie camera and the device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

We have no more information on this mystery ASUS smartphone but rumors insist that it’s a new, upcoming Zenfone model – possibly the ASUS Zenfone 4. We expect to have more info on this matter in the coming days, so we will keep you posted.

Zenfone 4 with a soc as low-end as sd430 and with a downscaled screen from fhd to hd?! It doesn’t look right, it’s probably just another variant of their other phones such as the pegasus line
