Not that we didn’t know, but OnePlus just confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 5 flagship killer will be equipped with Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC till now, the Snapdragon 835.
Don’t expect to learn something more guys at this time, it’s just a way for OnePlus to better promote the hype of their upcoming model and a way to further show off its performance. And what a performance you may say: according to the Chinese company the device is optimized for
“flawlessly smooth performance”
and their developers have added a feature to OxygenOS that can help manage app performance by deprioritizing apps that aren’t used often – basically imroving battery consumption along with improving overall performance. OnePlus doesn’t elaborate any more on how this feature works or mention what the feature is called but after today’s official announcement we’re surely moving closer to an official launch in the coming weeks.
