27.6 million units of smartphones shipped by Xiaomi in the third quarter of 2017

Xiaomi’s market presence has grown stronger with every year and there seems to be no slowing down. Proof for the same are the 27.6 million units of smartphones that they have shipped in the 3rd quarter of this year.

The only companies ahead include Samsung, Apple, Huawei and Oppo with Xiaomi coming in 5th on the list with respect to global shipment volume. The numbers show a staggering 102.6% growth rate from last year which is quite commendable considering the age of the company. According to Xiaomi’s co-founder, Lin Bin, Xiaomi is the front runner when it comes to growth rate.

They have changed their design methodology to accommodate the demands of the market and spread out across countries in a matter of a few years. Their phones have given tough competition to some major brands and are still climbing up to the big names like Samsung and Apple. I’m pretty sure Xiaomi has some great products lined up for 2018.
