Huawei is the leader in the Chinese smartphone market, and taking into account the big steps it is doing currently, this company won’t yield its positions in the nearest future. This manufacturer has a simple strategy in terms of releasing its flagships. In the first quarter it launches the P-line flagships that are followed by Mate family models, and at the end of a year, it comes in with Honor V line smartphones to capture the younger customers. So it becomes quite difficult to identify which of these models should be considered as an annual flagship. In this sense, the Mate family models are the most powerful, but the V-line handsets are the cheapest ones. So what about the P handsets. These are the highest-end smartphones priced quite highly. According to some assumptions, this trend will continue in the Huawei P11 that is planned to launch in the first quarter of 2018.
The Huawei P11 has been already shown in renders. According to them, the phone will come with an iPhone X’s ‘bang-style’ full-screen. But there is also a chin below the screen identical to the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. So the authors think the P11 will be a combination of those aforementioned phones.
Apart from this, the phone is rumored to sport a 5.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 3420X2160 pixels. The back panel should be made of glass. Under the hood, we can find a Kirin 975 chip paired with an 8GB of RAM, 128GB of ROM, and a 4000mAh battery supporting wireless charging. Of course, it will run on EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
The P10 has been known for its great camera. So the Huawei P11 will do. There should be a 23MP front camera supporting 4x optical zoom, face recognition, and more. The main camera should use a dual-camera setup with a 56MP large sensor and a 34MP secondary sensor. Both lenses will support 8x optical zoom.
The source thinks this phone will be launched in two variants. The Huawei P11 will cost a 4299 yuan ($649), while the Huawei P11 Plus should come at 4699 yuan ($709).
