As far as Android tablets go, Chuwi just launched the Chuwi Hi9. A tablet equipped with a MediaTek 8173 chipset that is coupled with a GX6250 GPU and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat to guarantee a good Android gaming experience. The Hi9 sports a 8.4-inch with an insane 2560*1600 resolution on a 16:9 IPS display, which makes it a great device to read text on, due to the high pixel count. To make sure you always have enough memory and space to run and store games, apps and data, Chuwi also equipped with it with 4 GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable to up to 128GB).
The built-in 5,000mAh battery will then provide 7 to 8 hours of autonomy, it supports 5V/3A charging, bluetooth 4.0 and it features a 2MP front facing cam and a 5MP rear shooter.
You can currently purchase the Chuwi Hi9 for only $179.99 during the flash sale. Price will rise up to $199.99 when the promotion is over. Learn more about it or buy one on the official website.
According to the bit of news coming from CES, Chuwi is also working on another Android tablet named Hi9 Air. Which, judging from the name we expect to be thinner than the older brother, just like what they did with the LapBook Air.
The Hi9 Air will be coming with a bigger 10.8-inch 3:2 IPS screen and it’ll be powered by the same MediaTek 8176 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable to 128GB). The tablet will run on Android 8.0 Oreo and sport a 1920*1280 resolution.
Lastly, the device will pack a surprisingly high resolution 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear one as well as a fingerprint scanner.
At the CES 2018, Chuwi also showed off a mini pc called GBox Pro equipped with the new 8-gen Intel core i5 processor coupled with an HBM2 GPU. It comes with a remote controller in the package and plenty of expansion interfaces.
