It is no longer news that Xiaomi will release new products at the upcoming MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. Rumors have it that the most likely device to be expected is the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S. Amidst the speculation of the MIX 2S release, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has cut down the Mi MIX 2 price which would be the predecessor of the rumored Mi MIX 2S. Today, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 (6GB+128GB) was listed on Jingdong platform with a 3199 Yuan price tag for members but potential buyers can also get it for 3299 Yuan if you don’t have the 100 Yuan coupon. These prices are lower than the 3399 Yuan for which the smartphone has been selling for some time now. In all, this price cut suggests that the predecessor of this smartphone is coming soon.
As a reminder, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The 6GB variant also has 128GB and 256GB memory variant while the 8GB variant comes with 128GB internal storage. It is equipped with a Gorilla Glass 4 protected 5.99-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen having an 80.8% screen-to-body ratio with a 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution. In the camera department, we have a 12MP camera on the rear which supports four-axis optical image stabilization coupled with a 5MP shooter for selfies. It runs a pre-installed Android Nougat OS and its lights are kept on by a non-removable Li-Ion 3400 mAh battery.
