Vivo Nex with pop-out camera snapped on live TV, specs leaked

Even though Vivo itself has slowly let out the secret that the Vivo Nex is, in fact, the Vivo Apex in disguise, a new set of images makes this clearer than daylight. These new images aired on live TV are the final confirmation that the Vivo Nex is a renovated Apex and it has a unique pop-out selfie camera.

The live images now give us a crystal clear look at the handset that is just a week from launch. Up til now, there was doubt regarding the retractable selfie camera, that doubt too now subsides. Without talking a lot, let’s just take a look at the gorgeous design of the Vivo Nex.

Gizchina News of the week

Besides hands-on images, we also have a leaked spec-sheet. However, the spec-sheet seems to be of the Nex S instead of the standard Nex. We earlier reported that three variants of the Nex have got the go-ahead from TENAA. The Nex S is a slightly altered device in terms of looks. It will house a selfie camera on the bottom bezel instead of the top. The Nex A is another variant and then there is the Nex.

Coming back to the leaked spec-sheet, the handset is alleged to feature a 6.01-inch display, a Snapdragon 710 SoC, a 24MP selfie camera, and a dual 20MP + 16MP rear setup. It will make use of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage in tandem with a 3,320mAh battery.

Furthermore, even though the Vivo Nex is a very innovative handset, it is expected to have a matching price tag. As per reports, prices will start at 4,998 yuan (Rs.52,300 approx.) and go all the way up to 6,998 yuan (Rs.73,300 approx.). The launch event is on June 12.

Again, no prices in USD. This is not India only website.

It is about $770 (5000 yuan) to $1100 (7000 yuan). Which is insane for a Chinese phone with no support or warranty. Still at least this is almost 95% screen. Unlike the Lenovo Z5 which turned to vaporware. The $700 will have a bigger chin with camera at bottom like Mix 2S. The $1100 one is the one in the video. I would maybe pay $400-500 if reviews were good.

We can see that the quality of the selfie video cam is really bad….so Vivo should quickly reconsider their prices…
