Vivo has added yet another smartphone to its plethora of mid-range devices in India with the launch of the Vivo Y71i. This handset is a toned-down variant of the Vivo Y71 that launched in April this year. The handset comes with a more subdued camera and lower RAM and storage. The launch of the handset is known through retail sources, said 91mobiles who reported the launch exclusively.
The Vivo Y71i comes with a 6.0-inch Full View display and HD+ resolution. It bears an aspect ratio of 18:9. This means no notch for the phone. Under the hood, the handset has a Snapdragon 425 SoC with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
As for the camera department, the Vivo Y71i has an 8MP shooter at the back and a 5MP shooter on the front side. The package runs on a 3,360mAh battery that powers FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Vivo Y71i comes with dual SIM slots, 4G LTE, and the other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. However, the handset does not feature a fingerprint reader.
An official launch should happen soon and that is when Vivo will determine the price of the handset. For now, we know that the Vivo Y71i will go on sale through retail stores across the country.
