The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Note 9. The latest video leak shows the tab S4 in two colour variants. The leak is likely from a store in China gearing up for the launch.
The hands-on video corroborates with previous leaks and confirms a few speculations. First off, there’s a significant reduction in bezels. Second off, there’s no fingerprint scanner. So either Samsung has chosen to hoist this tablet atop the facial recognition wagon. The video also confirms two colour variants of the S4, Black and White. The back seems to be made of glass. Quite brave of Samsung to put a glass back on a big screen.
The South Korean giant has been tight-lipped about the Tab S4. But thanks to an earlier report, we have a full list of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 specs. The S4 will sport a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1080p resolution an 16:10 aspect ratio. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset will sit inside the tab coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. There’s an 8MP camera in the front and a 13MP camera in the back. It will be powered by a 7300mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung’s bloated UI on top. Earlier leaks have revealed that the Tab S4 will come with AKG tuned audio. In addition to that, it is expected to also support Samsung DeX. The Tab S4 will have support for S-Pen although it will be different from the one used in the Galaxy Note 9.
The Galaxy Tab S4 is expected to be launched alongside the Note 9 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York on 9th August. If not then, Samsung will probably launch the tab at the IFA 2018 tech trade show in Berlin, Germany. We’ll know for certain in just a few days.
