A few days ago, the OPPO F9 passed the SIRIM certification in Malaysia. Then OPPO also officially released the OPPO F9 poster on Facebook. But the poster only suggests that this handset will use the new screen design. No other information was provided. Today, OPPO released a new OPPO F9 warm-up video. What’s more important in this video, it showcases the appearance of the upcoming OPPO F9. Generally, it is focusing on the back color design of the phone, the dual-camera, and the VOOC flash charge technology.
According to the video, the OPPO F9 will adopt a new special-shaped full-screen, which is officially called the ‘water drop screen.’ The back comes with a dual-camera and is equipped with rear fingerprint recognition. It is worth noting that the color of the back adopts a new style. Due to it, the back will get different colors in different light angles.

Previously, we have heard the OPPO F9 will come with dimensions of 156.7 × 74 × 7.99mm and a weight of 169g. Apart from this, we have heard it will be equipped with a MediaTek P60 processor, supplemented by a 4GB/6GB+64GB storage combination. The screen will be at 6.3 inches at a resolution of 2280×1080. As we said, the back carries a dual-camera with a 16MP + 2MP sensors combination that has an aperture of f/1.85, while the front camera uses a 25MP sensors with an aperture of f/2.0. The 3500mAh battery supports VOOC flash charging and the phone runs on ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.0. Three color options will be available to choose from – red, blue, and purple.
We are waiting for the OPPO F9 to debut in Vietnam on August 15. Later, it will go to other Southeast Asian countries as well.
