Last week, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, launched the first smartphone its new sub-brand - Xiaomi Pocophone F1. This smartphone was released in India and its Rs. 20,999 ($300) price tag "wowed" the world. Its design, features and promised performance are exceptional and many can't wait to have this smartphone which is scheduled to go on sale in India on August 29. The company has recently announced that the Pocophone F1 is going global and it will be launched in France, Indonesia, and Hong Kong tomorrow.
The Xiaomi pocophone F1 is powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. This smartphone is equipped with a 6.18-inch Full-HD+ notched display and has a polycarbonate body build. The choice of a polycarbonate body has been a turnoff for many but there are yet a good number of folks who prefer the polycarbonate body build so I guess it will be our next poll topic.

In the camera department, this handset has a 12MP + 5MP rear camera setup and a 20MP front selfie that resides on the notch. With Xiaomi DNA flowing in its veins, we’ll be seeing the AI trickery usually seen on Xiaomi devices like face beautification and scene recognition and other similar stuff. Poco also said it’s face unlock comes with infrared scanning and works in the dark as well as in light.

It has a 4,000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. However, the real headline grabber is the price. The base variant starts at Rs 20,999 that translates to around $300. The 6GB + 128GB will retail for Rs 23,999 (around $343) and the top-end 8GB + 256GB will cost Rs 28,999 (around $414).
