Xiaomi Mi 8 Series To Add More Amazing Variants Soon

On May 31st, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, released a series of products which included the Xiaomi Mi 8 series. At the time, this series has three smartphone – Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Xiaomi Mi 8 SE. Now, current information suggests that the company is getting ready to unveil two new smartphones in this series. According to the source, Xiaomi will release the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition and a Xiaomi Mi 8 with an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition

From the available information, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition will come with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. This smartphone will also be available in Space Gray, Gold, and Blue. As of now, there is no information regarding the processor but we don’t expect Xiaomi to pack some outdated chip on this one. Our best guess will be the Snapdragon 845 or if it chooses to look downward, it should settle for the Snapdragon 710. This smartphone will be a budget version of the Mi 8 series. According to the report, the camera department of this smartphone is consistent with the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explored Edition.

Xiaomi Mi 8 On-Screen Fingerprint Edition: What to Expect

Just as the name implies, this version should come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor. As of now, only the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition uses the sensor and the others in the series comes with a rear fingerprint scanner. The other specs will be consistent with the Xiaomi Mi 8. This smartphone is expected to be more expensive than the current Xiaomi Mi 8.

This is actually the first time that we are having reports of an additional device on the Mi 8 series. It is most likely that there would be other slight changes in these smartphones. However, nothing has been officially confirmed or hinted thus we advice that you take this information with a pinch of salt.
