Samsung sets October 11 for a new Galaxy launch event, Quad-camera phone expected

It appears the month of October will be jam-packed with new mobile launches, from not just the ordinary brands, but from the major industry players. While the V40 ThinQ from LG is expected to break cover on October 3, the Mate 20 series from Huawei on October 16, Pixel 3 and 3 XL from Google on October 9, and now, Samsung out of nowhere has today scheduled a Galaxy launch event for the same month of October.

The event is slated for October 11, 2018, in an unknown location, perhaps via a press release or live stream on samsung.com/galaxy.

Although the invite makes no mention of what product is in the offing, there is a subtle hint that suggests it could be a camera-centric phone – more specifically a Quad-camera phone, and that reminds us of a recent Tweet from Ice Universe, wherein he tweeted that the Korean giant has a Quad-camera phone in the making.

The invite to the event has the tagline: 4X fun, while the accompanying tweet on its tweeter handle says “Let the fun times begin” along with the date. And over at Samsung press, the company says: Capture the fun with Samsung as the company celebrates the launch of the new device with A Galaxy Event on October 11, 2018. Notice the A Galaxy Event, one could conclude that the device could be the rumored Galaxy A (2019), but, past rumors say the Galaxy A (2019) could come with triple rear cameras, and not a Quad camera setup.

What then could we be expecting? Samsung would most likely give us more hints in the days leading to October 11, so check back here for regularly for updates.
