Now, without any delay, the company has commenced presale of this smartphone on Xiaomi Mi Mall. The smartphone will be officially sold at 10 am on September 21. However, if you want to have an edge, you have to make a non-refundable 100 Yuan ($15) down payment and the smartphone will be shipped seven days after the final payment is made (presumably before Sept 21st). The 6GB+128GB version is sold for 3199 Yuan ($467) while the 8GB+128GB version goes for 3599 Yuan ($525).

The Xiaomi Mi 8 on-screen fingerprint version is just like the regular Xiaomi Mi 8, however, the biggest difference remains the inclusion of an on-screen fingerprint sensor and the company claims that this is the world’s first smartphone to support a pressure sensitive on-screen fingerprint recognition. Its built-in high-sensitivity pressure sensor effectively enhances the unlocking success rate and gives the finger a vibration feedback.
