Huawei is holding a press event on October 11, and it would seem the company has sent out media invites to the event. First seen on the company’s official Weibo account, the invite has the subtle hint that suggests the company will unveil the Honor 8C probably with dash charging. With this announcement, this would be the third smartphone we expect to be unveiled in the coming month.
Although the company hasn’t revealed what we should expect of the Honor 8C, speculations have it that the Honor 8C could be the Honor device with BKK-TL00 model number that surfaced on TENAA a while back, and if that turns out to be true, then it means that we could be dealing a mid-range smartphone.
Fitted with a 6.26-inch display, there are chances the alleged Honor 8C will come with the dreaded notch, as it has the same resolution as the Nokia X5 – 720 x 1520 Pixel resolution. Powered by a 3,900mAh battery, the Honor 8C is expected to house an unnamed SoC with a clock speed of 1.8GHz coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
The device houses a fingerprint scanner and a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the flipside, while an 8MP camera should come embedded within the notch. TENAA says the device comes in at 158.72 x 75.94 x 7.98 mm, 167.2 grams, and is expected to come in Blue, Black, Purple, and Gold color options.
