Xiaomi Mi 8 to get the super night scene mode update soon

Yesterday, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 started receiving the super night scene mode. Since the camera quality of Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 mainly comes from software optimization and algorithm upgrade, in theory, Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S can also obtain the same photo standard. With regards to this, Lei Jun said on Weibo “I have urgently requested Xiaomi R&D team to transplant Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 camera technology to Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S as soon as possible…”

Now, reports out of China shows that a development version of the Xiaomi Mi 8 comes with the super night scene mode feature. The principle of this feature is that when the shutter is pressed, the camera will take 8 photos with different exposure schemes simultaneously, and select key features for comparison, picture alignment, compensation, jitter correction, etc. The final output is more like a combination of all the excellent sections of the eight individual images to give a beautiful picture.

Now we can expect that the handheld super night view function will officially support Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 8 Regular Version, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S and perhaps a few more models. See some Xiaomi Mi 8 deals below
